While Abeyna takes a well-deserved break, I'll be here to share insights, updates, and opportunities to keep supporting your career development.

So, here’s a question for you to consider—who’s in your current network, and how are they driving your success?

Have you ever discussed your non-clinical career aspirations with a friend or colleague, only to be met with skepticism and negativity?

It often sounds like this:

  • 🚫 “Why would you leave medicine? Isn’t that risky?”

  • 🚫 “But you’ve spent years training for this!”

  • 🚫 “I wouldn’t even know where to start…”

That doubt—whether from others or even from yourself—can slow you down. But the right network? That changes everything.

Last week at our in-person event at the Houses of Parliament, and this week during our Doctor’s Mess, we saw the power of our network firsthand. We celebrated a number of exciting wins, including:

  • 🔥 Successful negotiations with Health Tech companies

  • 🔥 New opportunities in non clinical consulting

  • 🔥 The launch of an online content creation platform

  • 🔥 Signed contracts sealing the deal

The energy in the room was electric because everyone got it—they understood the motivation, self-belief, and hard work required to make these wins happen!

Here’s What a Great Network Can Do for You:

  • 💡 Believe in you—even when you doubt yourself

  • 💡 Encourage a growth mindset, helping you take bolder steps

  • 💡 Offer advice and support when you need it

  • 💡 Hold you accountable, so you keep making progress

  • 💡 Celebrate your wins and remind you how far you’ve come!

As we step into Q2, what are your top goals?

Are you trying to attract new clients for your coaching business? Or reach out to decision-makers in FemTech to offer your consultancy skills? Or build your influence as a health content creator?

Your network can be an invaluable asset to help reach these goals more quickly.

You might use them for advice, introductions, referrals etc... it's always worth making the ask!

So keep developing your network- online or at in person events- to surround yourself with like minded people who will act as your tribe while you forge ahead in your industry career.
