Hello my fellow doctors! 💐
One of our Doctors in Industry Commercial Fellows has just been offered a Medical Affairs job with a Pharma company!
In the process she had to negotiate her salary. Disappointingly the banding was lower than she wanted.
Most doctors - especially if this was their first post after clinical, would simply take what they are given.
For her, taking what they had offered would have made her feel undervalued which meant more to her than just getting a job.
Therefore she decided to stick with her intuition and her value to ask for exactly what she wanted - considerably above the banding.
It took some negotiation.. but she got the exact figure she’d asked for.
We’re so excited for her now that she can start this job with confidence and a high level of self-worth that will radiate throughout whatever she does.
Her company will certainly benefit!
.. and she knows that is only the beginning of the journey - hence why she’s continuing with us on the Fellowship.
Getting a job isn’t the endpoint. So let me ask you..
