Reasons why doctors hold back from LinkedIn..

Today I conducted a poll on our Facebook Group re doctors use of LinkedIn.

This is DESPITE the fact that over 72% of recruiters are using Linkedin to find doctors like you!

BIG Opportunity missed there..

If you’re one of these doctors - I get it! I was on LinkedIn doing NOTHING for a long time until I picked it up again in the last few years.. and now it’s my go-to platform.

There are several reasons to hold you back from using LinkedIn which include:

⏱️ Not having enough time as it’s another thing to do.

💀 Worrying everyone you know at work will find out about your alternative career plans and you’ll get in trouble

💃🏾 Feeling you need thousands of followers to be seen /heard / network

📝 Not wanting to have to post or put yourself out there every day.

🙊 You will be bothering or spamming others by sending a message / reaching out

👹 You have no direct experience in your new field of interest so you can’t mention anything but your clinical work in your profile

🫥 What you have to say is not important if you’re not an ‘expert’ in your field - so why bother commenting
