Thanks for all your warm wishes for my BIG 40th year!

I celebrated the day in Crete with my little family at an amazing resort - Creta Maris Hotel. All inclusive, shit hot food three times a day, EVERY DAY, and great vibes. Sadly the weather was constantly and unusually like it is in the picture. They couldn’t help that.

We just ran our second Doctors Mess event today - focusing on Mindset.

Common themes we see amongst doctors: I’m only a doctor. My skillsets aren’t valuable beyond medicine. I need to take a pay cut to move anywhere. I can’t possibly achieve what that person has. Why would anyone want to hire me if I don’t have direct experience? I keep getting rejected because I’m not good enough.

😶 Our Challenges in May

Growth strategy & cash - Any business or organisation can only survive with cash. The BEST learn how to self-generate cash early on, (which we’ve done successfully for 9 years!), but fast growth is near impossible without extra funding.

As a result of this, we’ve been having conversations with numerous financial institutions who run growth programs and are interested in supporting doctors. I’m struck by the sheer number of opportunities there are out there. The biggest challenge is identifying the right partner who aligns with our values.

Oh, and noticed that our page views went down this month? This is what happens when we have fewer live events due to leave and bank holidays. Significant eh?
