What most doctors miss when they want to make a career change

Let me share with you 2 of the core elements of career change that doctors massively underestimate

1. Time
Career change takes MUCH longer than you think. Even excluding the time it takes for you to DECIDE to make a change, the taking ACTION and CONSISTENTLY moving forward are steps that doctors most frequently stall on.

Additionally, your ability to roll into a job outside of your usual practice isn't always as quick or straightforward as you think. For some, it can take years until they end up in a job they love.

2. Mindset Shifts
For those of you who have made a substantial mindset shift to change careers from Medicine - you know exactly what I mean.

For those of you who haven't - you're probably thinking that the key to a successful alternative career solely lies in doing more qualifications, sprucing up your CV, or working for free and doing many job applications to get ahead

As doctors, we have a huge wealth of value; transferable and inherent, that can work well in ANY sector.

What most of us are missing is the ability to truly look internally, and analyse who we really are - so we can make the best of what we have. Using this to effectively sell ourselves to any company, organisation or opportunity coming our way.
